My parents were quite involved in Vintage Car Racing for many years. They had this custom TPD build made to suit their extensive experience racing. Its quite a functional build out for smaller race cars or motorcycles. The layout is an efficient use of a sub-20’ trailer. But the best thing that can be said and is obvious from the pictures is that it was maintained with consistent attention to details (even the smallest). Maintaining every part of the trailer beyond what normal racers would is an impulse response my dad cannot shake. The tires were replaced several times even though the wear on them was barely noticeable. The bearings were repacked yearly and overall, the trailer has probably less than 5,000 miles (at most) on it since they pulled it off the TPD lot. Every race the tire pressure was checked to make sure inflation was at 50lbs exactly.

My father is a retired engineer and the care and detail that went into the trailer is obvious by the overall condition it is in now. If I was to tell you it was a two-year-old trailer it would be quite easy to believe it. It’s simply the cleanest used TPD trailer that you will be able to find out there. Take note of the pictures. Its truly clear it has spent its whole life under cover. Most of the time it was under a carport off the main 2500 sq ft shop and 80% of that time was with a cotton cover over it, but it did also spend time in the shop as well. The only sun exposure was on the drop-down ramp and it only resulted in little cracking of the die cut vinyl Lotus logo. You can see the pictures for more details. There is no Gel Coat fade at all. The trailer was professionally cleaned and waxed yearly to help protect it.

I am selling this for my parents. I believe based on current market values the price is more than fair for a TPD trailer. If you do not agree do not keep looking for a TPD trailer. These are the best race trailers made hands down, so you have to pay a little more than other brands if you want the best. I sold my 2005 Titan during the great recession for 2k more than I paid for it several years earlier. Common story for TPD’s.
